I've been a proud resident of New York City for almost four years but I've switched apartments each and every one of those years. From truck to truck, place to place...you eventually find yourself downsizing when moving is as frequent as mine. Regardless, there's still a lot to mix-and-match. This visualization serves to show you the numerous steps it goes into making an outfit and has been divided into a very basic taxonomy index of basic colors, article-type, and cut/style.
It's a bit embarrassing to admit that the inspiration for this visualization dates back to 1995 when I was is the fifth grade. Remember that movie Clueless and Cher's personal closet sorter software? Then, it was every girl's dream. If you're not familiar with it, view the first few seconds of this youtube video to get an idea. Our personal inventory of clothing articles can easily get messy, especially in a small New York City apartment when your closet space is a bit...tiny. Some kind of inventory or sorter would be amazing to have in order to stay on top of what you have to wear.
